The investment case
Early conviction.
Active ownership.
Bolt’s approach combines access to private businesses with the experience to support them as they grow. CUDO and JAAQ are the principal expressions of that approach.
Two businesses.
Distinct demand.
CUDO addresses the computing infrastructure needed for AI. JAAQ addresses mental health information and engagement. The portfolio brings together different commercial drivers within a concentrated investment strategy.
The investment case depends on the development of those businesses and Bolt’s actual economic rights. It is not a broad-market or diversified investment.
Access
Exposure to private growth businesses through an established investment partnership and its existing portfolio relationships.
Involvement
Managing partners with board and operational roles, bringing context to decisions on finance, leadership and growth.
Alignment
Bolt charges no management or performance fees, and its managing partners are themselves invested. Joining fees and other applicable costs are set out in the investment terms.
From early capital to business building
A history of
practical involvement.
Seed-stage backing
Bolt led seed funding rounds for JAAQ and CUDO during 2022–2025.
Leadership and finance
Bolt reports supporting the finance functions and helping place JAAQ’s CEO and senior CUDO leadership.
Business development and value
The focus is on supporting company progress and assessing opportunities to realise value when available. Outcomes depend on company performance and market conditions.
A network with
operating perspective.
Bolt’s network spans banking, technology, health, consumer businesses and elite sport. The value of that network lies in judgement, relationships and experience.
Access to a network and active oversight can support a business. They do not provide protection against loss or assurance of liquidity.
